The Harvard Business Review recognized our work for Mahindra as one of the best examples of company culture and employee behavior change. StrawberryFrog helped the Mahindra Group through a radical growth strategy, enabling the entire multi-disiplined, multinational employee base to focus. As one of the most powerful Indian multinational conglomerates with an international reach, leadership sought to drive innovation and customer-focus. Together, StrawberryFrog defined the purpose of the company and then ignited a Movement to activate this called RISE. The motto “RISE” stood for: Use your ingenuity. Accept no limits. To drive positive change. The RISE Movement was more than just an initiative – it was a cultural transformation to Mahindra’s philosophy, recruitment, promotions and rewards, and employee behavior. Because one can accept things as they are or they rise to change them.
“As StrawberryFrog pointed out, who we are is RISE. All our internal and external processes have to be in sync with the idea of RISE. When we recruit, we have to look for an attitude that will be confluent with RISE. Our rewards and our promotions must also factor in the contribution to RISE. Our people (across 100 countries) must feel energized and empowered and their behaviors must reflect the RISE principles. So RISE is not just another initiative, it IS a cultural transformation. RISE is the philosophy that will shape us into the company of tomorrow.”
