Head of Strategy
Chip leads our strategy and research divisions, specializing in Movement Marketing. A skilled team builder with a highly regarded reputation, he worked in collaboration with our CEO, Scott Goodson, to define our Movement Marketing process for company transformations and for marketing to consumers. Chip is well-versed in the Movement strategy discipline with broad expertise in many sectors complemented by the deep and relevant experiences of helping to lead the transformations of Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley. He has also grown significant brand identities for PepsiCo, Jim Beam, and Heineken. After a decade, Chip paused from StrawberryFrog to instead led strategy at Bloomberg where he worked with the leadership team of AT&T on their 5G offering. Chip was asked to help figure out what AT&T should say to make their offering distinctive and magnetic. He did internal management interviews with their CTO, high-level executive team, and industry experts, as well as proprietary primary research including a semiotics deep dive. And a competitive deep dive. He wrote and created a range of positioning options executives at AT&T are very happy with (and we are equally pleased to have him back).
