Mitsubishi - EVO

It's not a car, it's a cult. StrawberryFrog developed an innovative viral campaign to showcase the 265hp 4x4 Lancer Evolution VIII in 35 markets across Europe. Mitsubishi's sports car had achieved a cult status, so we decided to create a secret campaign called 'Cult of Evo.' We began by placing a commercial on the internet showing a man being initiated into the mysterious cult,

and then seeded stories about the film on a number of online communities populated by car enthusiasts. A website targeting prospective purchasers was stocked with games that recreated the sensation of driving an Evo. This campaign was done in StrawberryFrog's Amsterdam office.
