Natura - Ecommerce site

StrawberyFrog's recent creation of the Natura Brasil Ecommerce website is a great example of this interactive nature of buying websites that combine community and social media. The brief was a simple one-liner: create an inspiration for consumers. Natura Brasil, the largest cosmetics company in Brasil, wanted to make sure it wasn’t just a beautiful site, but that we would create the world’s best ecommerce website for a beauty brand, and bring Natura Brasil into the digital era. Tasked with profiling the whole range of products and ingredients, and making people more aware of the Natura Brasil brand, the StrawberryFrog team visited Brasil, the retail experience in France and went on consultant training; by learning how to sell Natura Brasil cosmetics, the StrawberryFrog team could interpret the different elements into the online environment. Ecommerce websites usually show the products and that's about it, so our challenge was to show the range but in a different way.

We consulted architects on the geometrics and created an environment based in the original Natura Cajamar building outside Sao Paulo. The whole consultant environment was created after the personal experiences real people have with the brand. The user journey of buying cosmetics is key on a site like this, which is the area of expertise for StrawberryFrog. Ecommerce sites usually focus on the hard facts of purchasing. Natura wanted to change that, to look at the emotional side – how choosing your cosmetics expresses your personality and your style, and your relationship with the brand and the ingredients and the planet. StrawberryFrog analyzed the traditional offline journey of buying Natura cosmetics, and this enabled the team to marry this user-based thinking with beautiful design, uncompromising usability that is a seamless experience.
