The biggest idea on the web. Rather than focusing on the nuts and bolts of Microsoft’s less than thrilling offering, we put our attention towards something every aspiring small businessperson could relate to: A big idea. Our campaign for Microsoft’s Small Business Software revolved around the website: ideawins.com. We invited people to submit their best business ideas to a virtually live host, who asked them a series of tough questions and actually responded to their answers. The best business idea was rewarded with free retail space in New York City for a year, $100,000 in start-up costs, and all the technical support they needed.
The site was both a serious business questionnaire, and a highly entertaining place to engage with the brand, and download the software.
